Two experimental vaccines against Ebola have been developed. These vaccines are not licensed yet and have not been commercialised. They are not available to travellers in Belgium.

The vaccines are only used during an Ebola outbreak for:

  • People who have been in contact with someone with Ebola
  • Health workers
  • People at high risk of getting sick with Ebola
